What data we collect

We only collect data you give us yourself, plus a limited amount of technical data that is generated automatically when you visit a website.

When you use the contact form

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your organisation (optional)
  • Your telephone number (optional)
  • The subject you select and the message you write
  • The language version of the site you used

Automatically, when you visit the site

  • Your IP address, recorded in our hosting provider's server logs
  • Your browser type, device type and operating system
  • The pages you view and the date and time of your visit
  • The website you arrived from, if any

We do not ask for, and have no use for, special categories of personal data such as health, religion or political opinions. Please do not include such information in the message field.

Why we process your data, and on what legal basis

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) every processing activity needs a legal basis. Ours are:

Who else has access to your data

We never sell your data. We share it only with parties that help us run this business, each under a processing agreement:

  • Our hosting provider, which stores the website and its database
  • Our email provider, which delivers the notification of your enquiry

How long we keep your data

  • Contact form enquiries: 24 months after our last contact, unless they become part of a client file
  • Client files and related correspondence: 7 years, to meet Dutch statutory retention obligations
  • Server logs: normally no more than 30 days, depending on our hosting provider

How we protect your data

This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to the website's administration and to submitted enquiries is limited to people who need it, and is protected by strong authentication. Should a data breach occur that poses a risk to you, we will notify the supervisory authority and, where required, you directly.

Your rights

In relation to the personal data we hold about you, you have the right to:

  • Ask what data we hold about you, and receive a copy of it
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Have your data erased, where we have no overriding reason to keep it
  • Ask us to restrict how we use your data while a dispute is resolved
  • Receive the data you gave us in a portable, machine-readable format
  • Object to processing based on our legitimate interest

To exercise any of these rights, email us at abdelfattah@daba-l-ghda.com. We respond within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we do not disclose your data to someone else.
